The Folsom Lake Symphony proudly presents American Salute, an inspiring concert program celebrating the spirit, history, and sound of America as it celebrates its 250th anniversary. Performances will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Harris Center for the Arts, 10 College Pkwy, Folsom, CA, United States, 95630.
American Salute brings together some of the most iconic and beloved works in the American musical tradition including George Gershwin’s Cuban Overture, followed by his brilliant Variations on “I Got Rhythm”, featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Natsuki Fukasawa. The program continues with the sparkling wit and energy of Leonard Bernstein’s Candide Overture. A highlight of the performance is Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, narrated by esteemed baritone Ralph Cato.
The program also features selections from beloved stage and screen productions, including music from Star Wars, South Pacific, Wicked and more, creating a joyful and uplifting musical experience. Additional performers include a special appearance by the Virtus Choir from John Adams Academy – Roseville.
