The Feather River Democratic Club today announced a limited number of tickets for an ice cream social fundraiser and raffle to help support the club’s voter registration, get-out-the-vote, and candidate/issue promotion efforts for the November 2024 election cycle.

With both a U.S. Presidential race at the national level and a tax measure on the ballot for Yuba City residents, the club expects a greater level of voter interest this year. As a result, they are increasing fundraising efforts to ensure they can meet the increased need for information and access to voter registration opportunities.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased on-line via ActBlue (bit.ly/FRDC-ActBlue) or email [email protected] to buy in-person.

Attendees will also be able to purchase raffle tickets and enter to win a variety of prizes. Tickets are $2 or twelve tickets for $20. Prizes include hand-made jewelry from local artisan SKWearableArt, a chili pepper-themed quilt made by a local artisan, a living succulent plant arrangement, a wine tote with wine, a garden basket with tools, a pet gift basket, and a history/herstory book collection among others. In addition to the raffle, the club will offer loteria games with gift card prizes

The event will feature summer-style food including chili dogs and sides, followed by ice cream sundaes. In addition to other like-minded local residents, attendees will be able to meet local candidates running to represent Yuba and Sutter counties. Singer/songwriter Tom Galvin will perform and the club will have Kamala Harris for President T-shirts and other political merchandise for sale.
