Saving Our Legacy for African Americans for Smoke Free Safe Places (The SOL Project)

The SOL Project

1555 River Park Drive
Suite 107
Sacramento, CA 95815

The SOL Project — Saving Our Legacy: African Americans for Smoke-Free Safe Places — works to build healthier, smoke-free communities throughout the Greater Sacramento Valley Region, including Elk Grove, Citrus Heights, and Sacramento County’s unincorporated areas, as well as the Stockton region.

The SOL Project works with residents, businesses, faith-based organizations, community groups, youth, and local leaders to reduce tobacco-related health disparities and protect families from secondhand and thirdhand smoke.

Current efforts include advocating for smoke-free apartments and other multi-unit housing, smoke-free outdoor spaces, and ending the sale of commercial tobacco products, including work in Stockton.

The SOL Project also provides community education, presentations, educational materials, youth and community engagement, and resources for people who want to quit smoking or vaping.

Through advocacy, education, and strong community partnerships, The SOL Project is empowering residents to use their voices and help create healthier communities where everyone can breathe clean air.
