ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - Global Feast Fest will return to Elk Grove on Saturday, Sept. 12, bringing international food, live music, cultural vendors and family activities to District56.

The event will run from 3 to 8 p.m. and is part of the city of Elk Grove’s Diversity Month celebration. Global Feast Fest is presented by Wilton Rancheria, while the city’s broader Diversity Month programming is presented by Kaiser Permanente.

More than 20 food trucks and vendors are expected to participate, offering dishes inspired by cuisines and street foods from around the world, along with desserts and other specialty items.
The festival will also feature live performances by Cover Me Badd, Native Elements and Maya Latin Roots, with music scheduled throughout the event.

A cultural marketplace will feature handcrafted goods, artisan products and other items representing traditions and influences from different parts of the world.

Family activities will include a Kids Zone with games, activities and a craft area where children can create projects inspired by different cultures.

Adult attendees will also be able to visit the Pig Latin Beer and Wine Garden, which will offer a selection of craft beer, wine and specialty beverages.

This year’s festival follows the inaugural Global Feast Fest, which drew more than 3,000 attendees, according to the city.

Organizers expanded the event for its second year and moved it to a Saturday.

Global Feast Fest is intended to highlight food, music and cultural traditions while providing an opportunity for community members to take part in Elk Grove’s Diversity Month activities.
