ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The Elk Grove Soccer Club’s competitive schedule over the weekend of Aug. 22-23 started at parks or sports complexes throughout the Elk Grove area.

There will be competitive games every week until the beginning of November, except Labor Day Weekend.

Games are played at parks like Nottoli Park, Elk Grove Park, Kammerer Park and Bartholomew Sports Complex. These are just some of the 56 fields that host games totaling over 300 a week.

Elk Grove Soccer provides the competitive stage for players aged 7-19. Here, they will learn the fundamentals and strategies of the game of soccer depending on players’ age and level of competition. 

Starting tryouts and practices began July 6, allowing roughly a month and half for players to improve and be ready to play against other teams. 

Elk Grove Soccer Club provides for four levels of competition: MLS-Next, ECNL-RL Girls, Platinum and Elite. MLS-Next is the highest competition for boys while ECNL-RL Girls is the highest competition for girls. 

The Platinum and Elite competition levels still provide a high level of competition of players, but they allow a bridge for younger players to develop while continuing to play at a high level. 

Each level provides passionate coaches who challenge each player to not just improve as a soccer player but as a person as well. This positive team culture represents not just soccer but Elk Grove as a whole. 

The coaches are able to provide weekly training sessions that align with what they are looking to improve on as they continue the season, providing a pathway for each player and maximizing both the players development and the team’s. 

Elk Grove Soccer has provided an environment where each player is able to develop at the highest level of competition for the last 43 years. With over 6,000 registered players, the organization is consistently growing year after year. 

The program allows youth players and high school players to compete at a high level year round, constantly developing their game so they have extreme confidence in their ability. 

And when the time comes for a player to get recruited to play for college, Elk Grove Soccer is able to help. It provides timelines for when to get things done to help players get their name out to be seen by colleges.
