ELK GROVE/GALT, CA (MPG) - Live music, local talent and family-friendly entertainment will take center stage this August as the Cosumnes Community Services District’s Hot Summer Nights Concert Series returns to Laguna Town Hall Amphitheatre.

The free outdoor series will be held on select Friday evenings including Aug. 7, Aug. 14 and Aug. 28, and will feature a mix of live concerts and community performances.

The series opens Aug. 7 with a Concert in the Park featuring rock band INFM, plus, enjoy carnival games and a bounce house for free before the show starts. On Aug. 14, local performers will compete in Sammy’s Star Search, a community talent competition showcasing amateur singers, musicians and entertainers. The series concludes Aug. 28 with a Dive-in Concert featuring rock artist Matthew Ferguson Andrews, combining live music with a poolside experience.

Each event runs from 6 to 9 p.m., with amphitheater gates opening at 5 p.m. Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early, bring low-back lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy food and refreshments available for purchase from local food trucks and vendors.

The concerts take place at the Laguna Town Hall Amphitheatre, 3020 Renwick Ave., and are free and open to the public.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, organizers ask guests to follow event guidelines, including designated seating rules, keeping walkways clear and leaving pets at home unless they are service animals. In partnership with the Elk Grove Police Department, the city’s 10 p.m. curfew for minors will also be enforced during each event.
