Supervisor Hume Covers State of County

ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - County Supervisor Pat Hume brought the State of the County home to Elk Grove on Friday, July 17, updating a full house on topics impacting the business growth and community resilience of Sacramento County.

This tenth annual address, sponsored by the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, brought together civic leaders, business professionals, elected officials and community changemakers.

District 5 Supervisor Hume, who represents Elk Grove, Galt, Isleton and Rancho Cordova, highlighted Sacramento County’s priorities, economic outlook, infrastructure investments and initiatives impacting businesses, residents and the future growth of our communities.

Topics he covered included: the county budget, including balancing one-time expenditures and recurring costs; water supplies, and the completion of the Harvest Water Project, turning recycled water into irrigation; and support for the homeless, including new shelter spaces in Sacramento and the county.
