ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony May 6 to welcome the new Cattlemens Ranch Steakhouse location to the local business community.

The restaurant, known for its Western-themed atmosphere and family-style dining experience, officially opened in April at the Laguna Gateway shopping center anchored by Best Buy. The building previously housed Logan’s Roadhouse and Cicada Cantina.

Following the ceremony, Cattlemens Ranch Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Russell Hollett told the Elk Grove Citizen that opening a location in Elk Grove was a strategic business decision, noting that he lives nearby, has watched the area continue to grow and saw demand for another local steakhouse option.

“I see the growth in this area, being from this area,” Hollett said. “It’s a fit for us, especially finding this place right on a major highway as well.”

Hollett said the company, which was founded in 1968, takes a cautious approach to expansion to ensure long-term success and strong community connections of its restaurants.

Since opening, he said the restaurant has received positive support from residents as well as visitors traveling from out of town to experience its Western hospitality and signature steaks.

“Our goal is that every guest that comes in our doors wants to come back,” he added. “It’s not a sprint; it’s the longevity that we are looking for.”

Cattlemens Steakhouse is located at 9105 W. Stockton Blvd. and is open from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 3 to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
