Vice Mayor Darren Suen will host a career fair from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 1 at Cosumnes River College’s Elk Grove campus, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with employers, listen to informative seminars as well as enjoy food trucks and live performances. ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) – Are you looking to make your next career move? Mark your calendar from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 1 and take advantage of a dynamic career fair hosted by Vice Mayor Darren Suen and designed to connect job seekers with real opportunities.

Whether you’re a college student, recent graduate or seasoned professional, this event offers a valuable chance to stand out. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resume and dress professionally for potential on-the-spot interviews. 

In addition to meeting employers, participants can attend informative seminars aimed at sharpening essential career skills.

Highlights include How to Get a State Job discussion from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. to gain insider tips from Assistant Secretary of the California Government Operations Agency Sally Ly.

From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., there will be a Financial Literacy Session to build confidence in managing your finances with practical advice and strategies. 

The event will be held at the center on the Consumnes River College Elk Grove campus at 10051 Big Horn Blvd. It is open to everyone and will also include food trucks and live performances.
