ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - A new business offering heating, ventilation and air conditioning services officially marked its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 7, facilitated by the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce.
One Hour Heating & Air Elk Grove, which serves the city and the greater Sacramento area, opened in November 2025 as part of a national brand with independently owned locations across the country. Locally, the business is owned and operated by longtime residents Alfonso and Melody De Guia.

Fellow business owners, chamber members, family and friends gathered at the company’s service office at 9110 Union Park Way to celebrate the De Guia family’s addition to the local business community.
Alfonso De Guia shared his motivation for opening the business in a brief speech after cutting the ribbon.
“It’s always been my dream to own a business, drive the local economy and interact with great people every day and serve the community,” he said. “And with One Hour Heating & Air, I get to do all that.”
Chamber Board Chair Amy Labowitch followed by thanking the owners for their investment in the community.
“Thank you for investing in our community by investing in your business…” Labowitch said.

Alfonso De Guia added that his decision to open the business locally was rooted in having raised his family in Elk Grove and a desire to give back through his work.
“I’m not trying to leave anytime soon. It’s a great place to raise a family and a great place for community,” Alfonso De Guia told the Elk Grove Citizen.
He noted demand for services typically increases during the region’s hot summers and occasionally colder winter periods. Alfonso De Guia said that when residents are selecting a service provider, they should consider One Hour Heating & Air, which prioritizes professionalism and high standards, including employee background checks to help ensure client safety and security while work is performed in and around private properties.
“What we do is provide a professional level of service where we hold ourselves into a high level of standard… we’re certified, and we perform our services with honesty and integrity,” he said.
