ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The Del Webb Glenbrooke Homeowners Association Welcoming Committee is thanking community leaders for a recent large donation of Vial of Life supplies, kits that help first responders access critical medical information during emergencies.
The contribution was presented by Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) Division 3 Board Director Reina Tarango and Fire Chief Felipe Rodriguez. Glenbrooke resident Jim Luttrell coordinated the donation with support from Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen.
The Glenbrooke community, an active 55-and-over neighborhood on Del Webb Boulevard (located off Bruceville Road) of 631 total homes, provides the kits to new residents through its Welcoming Committee. According to a committee statement, the vials are included in welcome packets and contain key medical information to help emergency personnel provide proper treatment.
The Vial of Life program is intended for older adults, individuals with a history of illness and those who take prescription medications. The kits are designed to give paramedics quick access to a patient’s medical information that can help guide treatment decisions in emergencies, especially if the patient is unconscious.
The kit includes a large medicine vial container and a one-page form. The form lists medical history, allergies, medications and emergency contacts.
