ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center will present a Gallery Artist Studio Collection April 4 to 29. The exhibition opens with a First Saturday Public Reception from 4 to 7 p.m. April 4. The center will also present the Fifth Annual Elk Grove Festival of the Arts on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 25 at Old Town Plaza in Historic Elk Grove.

“This April our Gallery Artists will present an Open Studio Collection at the Center. It’s an excellent opportunity for collectors to take home a beautiful piece of fine art at studio prices,” said Elk Grove Fine Arts Center Marketing Director Heath Buckmaster. “Over 20 artists will participate in the collection, and we will have our regular rotating selection of ceramics, note cards, jewelry, sculpture and both new and well-remembered paintings.”

“We’re also excited about the Fifth Annual Elk Grove Festival of the Arts coming on the final Saturday in April. This event at Old Town Plaza has over 40 arts vendors, plus food and beverage trucks and musical performances throughout the day. A special showcase of student artwork is included plus live art demonstrations by the students of the Elk Grove Unified School District. The event is free and open to the public.”

The Elk Grove Festival of the Arts is graciously sponsored by the City of Elk Grove, the Arts and Creative Economy Commission and Motif Green.

Current and upcoming exhibitions include the Marie Crockett Featured Show through March 26, the Gallery Artist Studio Collection April 4 to 29 and the Community Arts Display and the Elk Grove Festival of the Arts at Old Town Plaza on April 25.

Established as a nonprofit arts organization on November 29, 2007, the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is a place for local artists to share their work and for the community to experience the visual arts through classes and special events.
