ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center will present the “Multi-faceted, many mediums and styles of Marie Crockett” from March 7 to 26. The exhibition opens with a First Saturday Public Reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 7 at 9020 Elk Grove Blvd., Suite 101.

Crockett is a National Conference of Artists Master Artist with experience in acrylic, acrylic with epoxy, oil, watercolor, pastel and Sumi-E ink paintings. In this collection, Crockett creates art ranging from striking landscapes to floral and animal-themed still life.

Shown is “Roses,” an artwork by artist Marie Crockett, which will be on display during the “Multi-faceted, many mediums and styles of Marie Crockett” exhibition March 7 to 26 at the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center. 

The current exhibition on display at the arts center now through Feb. 26 is the “A Celebration of Art,” featuring the students at the Elk Grove Unified School District.

Established as a nonprofit arts organization on Nov. 29, 2007, the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is a place for local artists to share their work and for the community to experience the visual arts through classes and special events. The center presents monthly fine art exhibitions, regional art competitions, a gift shop featuring functional art and jewelry, First Saturday public art receptions, adult workshops in a variety of art mediums and the annual Elk Grove Festival of the Arts. The galleries are open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and for First Saturday Public Receptions from 4 to 7 p.m. More information is available at elkgrovefineartscenter.org.
