Elks Lodge Raises $5K for Elk Grove High Band

ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - On Jan.10, Elk Grove Elks Lodge 2577 hosted the Elk Grove High School Band families, who held a successful “’80s Bingo” night fundraiser at which they raised a total of $5,000.
Faye Roediger, Renee Hollah and several Elk Grove High School band parents worked with the lodge and local businesses to secure donations and funding to help cover the costs of instruments, sheet music, uniforms, field trips and a proposed trip to Carnegie Hall in March.

On Jan.10, Elk Grove Elks Lodge 2577 hosted the Elk Grove High School Band families, who held a successful “’80s Bingo” night fundraiser at which they raised a total of $5,000.
Ninety-six players attended the fundraising event. Bingo winners received gift cards for various local merchants, many who also donated raffle prizes.
The Elk Grove Elks Lodge provided the bingo caller and numerous floor volunteers from its bingo committee. The lodge’s bingo snack bar crew provided food, including hot dogs, chili, burgers, fries and pie, as well as root beer floats for dessert. The lodge also donated the cost of the venue and net proceeds of the snack bar to the band.
