ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - On Dec. 20, at approximately 8:16 p.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to the area of Bruceville Road just north of Laguna Boulevard for a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian. After the collision, the driver of the vehicle left the scene.

Based on the investigation, the pedestrian was walking westbound across Bruceville Road in the number three lane, outside of a crosswalk, when she was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound from Di Lusso Drive.

The suspect vehicle appears to be a dark-colored SUV and was last seen going westbound on Laguna Boulevard from Bruceville Road.

The victim, a 25-year-old woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Identification of the deceased will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
