ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The City of Elk Grove is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to help local students take the next step toward a career in public service. Applications are now being accepted through the Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation.
This opportunity is open to high school seniors who reside within Elk Grove city limits and plan to attend a four-year university or community college as a full-time student.
Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, be actively involved in school and community activities, and demonstrate a commitment to civic engagement.
As part of the application, students will submit a two-page essay describing their role in local government and why strong local government matters to the community. Financial need is not a requirement for this scholarship, just a passion for leadership and service.
