ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - Elk Grove seniors can enjoy a delicious, nutritious meal while connecting with others through the Meals on Wheels-Sacramento County Restaurant Program.
Participants in the program can dine at the Brickhouse Restaurant on Elk Grove Boulevard using a reloadable Meals on Wheels restaurant meal card, which provides meal credits for specially approved senior menu options.
This program was created to give older adults more variety and flexibility in their dining choices while promoting social connection and reducing isolation.
To be eligible, participants must be age 60 or better (or the spouse of an eligible participant), live in Sacramento County and meet program priorities such as income qualification and food security needs.
Meals can be enjoyed during regular restaurant business hours, and participants must use at least five meals per month to remain active in the program.
