Barnes & Noble Among Tenants Planned for Village Center

ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The real estate company overseeing The Village project at Elk Grove and Big Horn boulevards has released an online brochure that includes a Barnes & Noble bookstore among its future tenants.

Other businesses announced prior includes anchor store Whole Foods, Mendocino Farms, Yard House, Shake Shack, Phliz Coffee and another Chik-fil-A location. The center will also have a Schools First Federal Credit Union.

Pappas Investments, the developer, states on its website that the site includes 127,000 proposed square feet with convenient access to Interstate 5 and Highway 99. It will also be adjacent to the city’s proposed Civic Center and proposed Mercy Hospital.

According to a news release of a contractor for the project, the shopping center is expected to open for business in 2026.

Elk Grove currently has one other locally run bookstore, A Seat at The Table Books, located at 9257 Laguna Springs Drive Suite 130.
