ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - We are thrilled and blessed to host the 9th Annual Gobble Wobble in Elk Grove, a cherished community event that brings us together in support of our most important mission: saving babies and helping families in need.
The proceeds from this remarkable event directly help us serve our community’s most vulnerable citizens, babies.
Your generosity keeps our gates open and our vans on the road, delivering essentials like diapers, wipes, formula, clothing and more to children 5 and under.
Did you know that one in two families experience diaper need? This often means babies are left in soiled diapers longer, leading to painful rashes, infections and even hospital visits. With your help, we can change that story.
Recent challenges, including the government shutdown, have hit us hard. In just one week, our formula shelves were completely cleared, and we’re working tirelessly to restock them. Many of our clients are forced to stretch formula by using less than the recommended amount, which puts babies at serious risk of malnutrition and dehydration.
With donations down by 90% and operating costs rising, we’ve made the difficult decision to place our beloved ranch for sale. It’s been our home for 10 and a half years, and while it breaks our hearts, the proceeds will ensure we can continue our life-saving mission, helping babies thrive.
That’s why this year’s Gobble Wobble means more than ever. It’s not just a fun run; it’s our lifeline.
Join us in person at the start/finish line or walk virtually from wherever you are. Because without you, there’s no us. Thank you for helping us save babies, one step at a time.
The run will take place starting from 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, at 8280 Longleaf Drive. For more information about the run or to register, visit chicksincrisis.org.
