ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) – A 17-year-old male died Sunday evening, Oct. 19 in a single-vehicle collision in Elk Grove. According to the Elk Grove Police Department, he was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police announced around 9 p.m. Oct. 19 via social media that Elk Grove Boulevard was closed in both directions between Shorelake and Waterfowl drives, near the Lakeside neighborhood, due to the crash.

In an update posted the following morning, police said that the incident remains under investigation by the department’s traffic investigators.
