ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) – A little puff of luck turned into a massive payday, as a Sacramento resident won a life-changing $424,365.91 jackpot at Sky River Casino on Sept. 24.

Third time was the charm for this week's big winner who played two machines earlier in the day before taking a break. In the guest's third try at the slots, the progressive delivered in a big way after 30 minutes of play. The lucky guest recently joined the Sky River Rewards program on July 1.

September was also a lucky month for guests who play Sky River table games. Two lucky winners won more than $100k each playing Pai Gow. Another landed the Triple Diamond Progressive and took home $192k in Double Up Blackjack.

These thrilling wins come on the heels of another exciting milestone for the property. Sky River Casino and Wilton Rancheria celebrated a "topping off” ceremony for the new multi-story parking garage, a key part of the casino's major expansion project. The project is on track to bring a new 300-room hotel, expanded gaming floor, and additional amenities.

The expansion plan is scheduled for completion in 2027. Details of the construction phases include the 1st Quarter 2026 Expansion Plans (completed as of September) multi-story, 1,600 space parking garage, enhanced valet service area and new Porte Cochere. The next phase, the 2027 expansion plans, are to add a 300-room state-of-the-art hotel, an outdoor pool, day spa, multi-use event and entertainment space, 400 additional slot gaming options as well as an additional, elevated High Limit and VIP gaming area.

Sky River Casino was built by Wilton Rancheria in partnership with Boyd Gaming Corporation, which is managing the property for the Tribe. The casino opened in August 2022 and includes 100,000 sq ft of gaming, 2,190 slot machines, 81 table games, and 18 elevated restaurants, bars and lounge destinations.
