SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - The Sacramento Kings and Phoong Law announced a new jersey patch partnership for the 2025-26 NBA season and a long-term initiative to invest and uplift women in Sacramento.
The Purple Promise represents a shared commitment to advancing gender equity and community impact through mentorship, collaboration, and storytelling.
Beginning on opening night, the Phoong Law logo will appear on the left front strap of Kings player jerseys, marking the team’s first jersey patch partnership with an Asian American and Pacific Islander woman-owned company and injury law firm.
“This partnership goes beyond the game,” said Sacramento Kings Chief Operating Officer Matina Kolokotronis. “Together with Phoong Law, we’re investing in female entrepreneurs, uplifting future leaders and building a lasting platform that empowers our Sacramento community for generations to come.”
Said Phoong Law Founder and CEO Anh Phoong, “As a woman, an entrepreneur and a proud Sacramentan, this moment is deeply personal. The Kings have a long history of giving back to our community and through The Purple Promise, we’re creating mentorship, opportunity and visibility for women and girls, ensuring they know their voices, dreams, and leadership matter.”
A portion of Kings jersey sales during the 2025-26 NBA season will benefit Single Mom Strong, Inc., an organization dedicated to empowering single mothers and their children, as well as My Sister’s House, a Sacramento nonprofit organization providing critical services to women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
The Purple Promise officially debuts on Oct. 24 during the Kings Opening Night with a special in-game jersey exchange ceremony. In a symbolic moment, Anh Phoong and Kolokotronis will present Kings jerseys to representatives from the two beneficiary nonprofit organizations, honoring their work in the community.
Throughout the season, The Purple Promise will continue to spotlight mentorship and empowerment through a series of impactful events and programs.
The Kings and Phoong Law will host a one-day leadership summit focused on fostering confidence and connection, as well as a series of girls’ basketball clinics that combine skills development with leadership training and personal growth. Additional jersey exchanges will occur, bringing together prominent women leaders and young women to symbolize the power of mentorship and generational empowerment.
In addition, The Purple Promise will celebrate and amplify the stories of local women entrepreneurs and changemakers through featured content shared in the arena and across Kings digital platforms showcasing the strength and spirit of Sacramento’s women leaders.
Phoong Law will also serve as the presenting partner of Women’s Empowerment Month and a presenting partner of Girls Night Out on March 5, a special night celebrating woman in sports, entertainment, business and community leadership.
