ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - Celebrate the spirit of Diwali at a free community event filled with lights, music, cultural dances, a fashion show and delicious food.

Join USA Sanatan as they honor the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and good over evil. The festival takes place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13 at District 56, 8230 Civic Center Drive.

This year marks the 6th annual celebration, featuring vibrant dance performances, a dazzling fashion show, an interfaith Diya (lamp) lighting ceremony, speeches by public officials and community leaders, and free dinner and Diwali sweets for all attendees.

The event is presented by the USA Sanatan, with support from the City of Elk Grove Diversity & Inclusion Commission.
