ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - School spirit and tradition will be on display as Elk Grove High School hosts its annual Homecoming Parade Friday, September 26.
To accommodate the event, road closures and alternative routes will be in effect from 12:45 to 3 p.m. on several roads. Motorists can expect traffic delays and are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Road Closures inlcude Valley Oak Drive at Elk Grove High School to Vista Grande Way,
Elk Grove-Florin Road in both directions at Elk Grove High School to Elk Grove Boulevard,
Elk Grove Boulevard in both directions from Elk Grove Florin Road to Williamson Drive,
Melrose Avenue and Southside Drive.
Held since 1964, the Elk Grove High School homecoming parade is a time-honored tradition that recognizes its students and showcases their school spirit to the community. An estimated 1,000 students and 500 spectators are expected to participate
Elk Grove Police Department will be on hand to assist with traffic controls and detours during the event. Motorists can expect lane closures along Elk Grove Boulevard and Elk Grove-Florin Road as the student body celebrates this time-honored tradition.
