ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The Elk Grove Police Department responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle collision on Elk Grove Florin Road, just north of Campbell Road, on Friday, August 22 around 6:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the pickup pulling a trailer had been making a U-turn from northbound Elk Grove Florin Road to southbound Elk Grove Florin when the 21-year-old motorcyclist, also traveling north on Elk Grove Florin Road, broadsided the truck.

The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle as a result of the collision and suffered fatal injuries. Medical personnel arrived and determined that the motorcyclist was deceased. Identification of the motorcyclist will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
