ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The City of Elk Grove and Republic Services are hosting a free document shredding event from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at Elk Grove City Hall, 8401 Laguna Palms Way.

Residents can bring up to three banker boxes (12”x15”x10”) of personal paper documents for safe and secure shredding. Documents can be disposed of whether they’re loose, folded, stapled or in envelopes.

Only personal paper documents are being accepted. Documents such as business records, large metals, binders, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, slides, credit cards or cassettes will not be accepted.

Republic Services staff will be responsible for paper document unloading and shredding. This will be a drive-thru event open only to residents of Elk Grove.
