Graduation Ceremonies at Golden 1 Center

ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) will celebrate the graduation of more than 4,900 seniors from its nine comprehensive high schools at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center later this month. 

Ceremonies will take place over three days, from May 27 through May 29, with each school’s event live streamed and available for free viewing online at egusdgrads.com.

Graduation ceremonies are scheduled as follows: Laguna Creek (11 a.m.), Elk Grove (3 p.m.) and Monterey Trail (7 p.m.) on May 27; Sheldon (11 a.m.), Pleasant Grove (3 p.m.), and Florin (7 p.m.) on May 28; and Cosumnes Oaks (11 a.m.), Franklin (3 p.m.), and Valley (7 p.m.) on May 29.

Graduation ceremonies for alternative education and charter schools will be held on May 30 at the Sheldon High School Performing Arts Center. Adult education graduates will celebrate earlier, on May 22, also at Sheldon High.

Digital recordings of the Golden 1 Center ceremonies are available for pre-order via EGUSDGrads.com. These recordings are not included in senior payment plans and will be delivered via download link within 24 to 72 hours after each ceremony. The ceremonies will also air on Comcast Channel 16.

Guests attending ceremonies at the Golden 1 Center are subject to security screening and must comply with strict bag and item regulations. The venue opens one hour before each event and does not accept cash. 

Parking and public transportation information is available through the City of Sacramento and SacRT services.

EGUSD is the largest school district in Northern California, serving approximately 63,000 students across 68 schools. 

The district spans 320 square miles and offers more than 60 career-themed programs to prepare students for life beyond graduation, according to a district news release.
