Elk Grove Accepting 2025 Grant Applications
Jan 09, 2025 01:46PM ● By MPG StaffELK GROVE, CA (MPG) - The online application period for three Elk Grove city grant programs for local nonprofits will open on Friday, Jan. 10.
Applications for Community Development Block Grants and Community Service Grants, which offer funding for public service activities, housing programs and public facility improvements, are due on Feb. 11.
The Community Development Block Grant is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and primarily assists low- and moderate-income individuals.
The Community Service Grant is a local grant program that funds local public service activities and art programs. In the past, the grant has supported emergency food distribution, service for homeless residents and staffing support for senior and youth programs, according to a City of Elk Grove news release.
Event Sponsorship Grants are available for any organization planning special events that benefit the Elk Grove community between July 1 and June 30, 2026.
Applications for the Event Sponsorship Grant are due Feb. 21.
City staff will provide an overview of the grant application process and eligibility requirements during a webinar on Jan. 21 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
