NORTHERN CALIFORNIA (MPG) - Visions In Education, a free public charter school serving more than 7,500 students throughout Northern California, is proud to announce that its charter renewal petition was unanimously approved by the San Juan Unified School District (SJUSD) Board of Education at their meeting on Dec. 17.

This milestone not only ensures Visions’ continued ability to provide high-quality, personalized educational options but also coincides with the school’s 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of innovation and academic excellence.

California’s education landscape has evolved significantly since Visions’ last charter renewal in 2017 and Visions has evolved with it to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world. The renewal petition submission, a comprehensive document nearly 1,000 pages long, detailed every facet of school operations—from fiscal management and governance to curriculum, student outcomes, and more. In addition, Visions is the first charter school to submit a renewal and receive approval from San Juan Unified School District since the pandemic.

The renewed charter term will begin on July 1, 2025, and run through June 30, 2030. Visions In Education appreciates more than 25 years of partnership with San Juan Unified School District and looks forward to continuing to serve its community with innovative, student-centered education programs. As the school enters its next chapter, it reaffirms its mission to inspire and equip all learners to strive for excellence, embrace new challenges, and become active contributors to our diverse and dynamic world.
