SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - The 2025 Association of Pickleball Players' (APP) Sacramento Open is set to take place Feb. 26 through March 2, at Johnson Ranch Pickleball Complex in Roseville, marking the Association of Pickleball Players Tour's third event of the season and showcasing the world's top pickleball players competing for gold medals and cash prizes in front of a national television audience. Amateur and pro player registration for the world-class pickleball event in Sacramento is now officially open via www.theapp.global.

Competition at the 2025 APP Sacramento Open will be open to all pickleball skill levels, plus those playing at the pro level, across a wide range of age brackets. Players are encouraged to sign up quickly to secure their spots with registration now open through Feb. 16.

The event will also be a USA Pickleball-designated "Golden Ticket" event, in which gold medal winners earn the chance to pre-register to compete in the 2025 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships in November. Pro players will compete for their share of a $100,000 prize pool as part of a nationally televised event.

The Association of Pickleball Players Tour has held events at Johnson Ranch Pickleball Complex for the past two years, including its 2024 pickleball tour event that saw 17-year-old Jorja Johnson capture the triple crown.

"We are thrilled to be back in Sacramento for what will be a spectacular APP Tour event," said Association of Pickleball Players Founder Ken Herrmann. "Northern California holds a special place in our hearts and has one of the best pickleball communities you'll ever find. We can't wait to host you all in February for the third year of the APP Sacramento Open. See you there!"

The Association of Pickleball Players provides opportunities for pickleball players of all ages and skill levels—professionals, amateurs and recreational—to compete in world-class pickleball events for the opportunity to win prize money and be featured on nationally televised broadcasts on CBS Sports, ESPN and FOX Sports.

Since its launch in 2019, the association has operated the first and only pro and amateur pickleball tour fully and officially sanctioned by USA Pickleball. It also became the first pickleball organization ever to establish an official headquarters and training center with The Fort in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The Association of Pickleball Players Tour's 2025 schedule will feature the most robust pickleball showcase across pro and amateur competitions accompanied by youth development programs, grassroots charity initiatives and international partnerships to continue to grow the game. Schedules, recent news and additional information are available at www.theapp.global.
