The American River College women’s volleyball team celebrates during their journey to 2024 Big 8 Conference Champions.

SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - The American River College women's volleyball program closed out the regular season as Big 8 Conference Champions after defeating Modesto Junior College and Sacramento City College.

The Beavers swept Modesto Junior College on Wednesday, Nov. 12, winning 3 sets to none, 25-13, 25-18, 25-21.  The Beavers followed that performance up with another sweep on Friday, Nov. 15, against Sacramento City College, winning 25-17, 25-19, 25-16.

With the wins, the Beavers improved to 25-4 overall and 14-2 in conference. The Beavers will now await their seeding for the NorCal Regional playoffs which will begin for them on Tuesday, Nov. 26th (after press time).
