Track & Field Athletes Reach State Championship

SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - The Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Finals for Track and Field were held May 17 and 18 at Davis High School. 
Local athletes stood out with first place finishes and were able to move on to the CIF State Championships in Clovis on May 24-25. 
Mens Results

Okoh of the Wildcats is committed to UC Irvine for track and field while Mcfarland of the Wolfpack is committed to San Jose State University. This is Okoh's second consecutive first place finish in the 400M race at the section Masters. She finished last year with a 56.43a mark, according to Athletic.net. 
Although they finished in second place, the Wildcats 4x400 Relay team, which include Savannah Berry, Ihe Okoh, Alexis Steward and Senai Rogers, also advanced to the State Championship. 
As for Rogers, she is coming off a section championship in soccer with the Wildcats and is committed to Louisiana State University ahead of her trip to Clovis for the State Championships. 
Two local schools, the Franklin High Wildcats and Cosumnes Oaks High Wolfpack, will be present Friday and Saturday at the State Championships  in Clovis.
