ORANGEVALE, CA (MPG) – The No. 14 ranked Casa Roble varsity football team ended the 2022 preseason on a high note, winning 51-7 at home against Ponderosa on Friday, September 23.
The Rams (4-1) head into Golden Empire League play against Mesa Verde (5-0) on Friday, September 30 at San Juan High School. Then Casa is back home for the next two games against Rio Linda (2-3) on October 7 for homecoming and Woodland (2-3) on October 14.
“The boys played some great football tonight,” Casa coach Chris Horner told the American River Messenger following the win against Ponderosa. “It started out slow, but once we found things that worked offensively, we started rolling. Defensively the boys played lights out. All around it was a great effort by everyone.”
