RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – Cordova Recreation & Park District (CRPD) held its annual, family-friendly Meet the Machines event on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Over 1,300 people attended the event and explored an assortment of 30 machines!
Kids were overjoyed as they touched, climbed on and explored exciting machines. Some of the unique machines included a school bus, bass fishing boat, garbage truck, ambulance, sewer truck, concrete mixer, emergency vehicles, a Ford Model T truck, an army Humvee, a radio service trailer and a variety of CRPD tractors and mowers.
In between meeting the machines, kids felt the rush going down inflatable slides. One of which was over 20 feet tall! Beach balls were launched into the sky from a CRPD machine for kids to chase and play with throughout the event.
A big thank you to our sponsors Sacramento Area Sewer District for supporting this wonderful community event!
