MCCLELLAN, CA (MPG) – Congratulations to the 175 Twin Rivers Unified seniors on track to graduate with college credits! Brandon Thao is one of them. He attends Rio Linda High School and will graduate with 30 college credits. Brandon has been accepted at four universities. He will enter college as a sophomore due to the college credits he earned in high school. What an achievement, especially during the unprecedented challenges of the 2020-2021 school year due to COVID-19.

The District’s Dual Enrollment Program provides 9th – 12th graders at all comprehensive high schools an opportunity to enroll in college courses and get both high school and college credit. Classes are held on our campuses, and the District pays all fees. Dual Enrollment is a partnership with American River College.

Advantages of the Twin Rivers Unified Dual Enrollment Program include:

It helps close the college affordability gap—the District pays all fees associated with college classes; Students can complete an associate degree in high school with zero college debt; Provides a clear path to higher education, especially for students from historically underserved populations.
