CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - You are driving along on Greenback Lane, Sunrise Boulevard or Douglas Boulevard. Suddenly you begin hearing a cacophony of car and diesel truck horns and shouting. You have just found yourself in the middle of one of the many Trump car parades along main thoroughfares from Elk Grove to Rocklin and beyond.
And wherever there is water, such as under the Tower Bridge in Sacramento you may find dozens of colorfully decorated boats of all sizes floating and motoring down waterways. Some gatherings are spontaneous, others well planned for months.
Staging areas for the land 'rallies' are in parking lots, such as Lowe's at Greenback and Sunrise in Citrus Heights with tables offering up Trump and police support flags, signs and all things in support of Trump and our local police. It's a party as champions for Trump line the streets with their colorful hats, flags and signs enjoying the mostly positive support from passing motorists. While event organizers make it clear these are to be peaceful events, they have not been without incident. Local police are aware of these events and act quickly to calmly diffuse negative situations before they escalate.
