The regular season for basketball and soccer came to a close yesterday for Sac-Joaquin Section teams and with multiple teams finishing the season as league champions from the city of Elk Grove, area talent is once again flooding the playoffs.

Five American River College football players announced last week they will continue their collegiate careers in the fall. Signing on the first day of the NCAA National Letter of Intent commitment period on Feb. 7 were three boys who played their high school ball in the Elk Grove area.
