Devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, entered peacefully into rest on February 4,2021. on August 20,1934, Theresa was born and raised in Montana. She came to California with her husband and children over 50 years ago and has been a resident of the area ever since. Theresa was a devout Catholic, and enjoyed her time as a member of the St. Anne's Parish Choir. In 1988 she was blessed with becoming an Associate Member of The Sisters of the Holy Family in San Jose, Ca. She was a hairdresser and a teacher at a local  Beauty College in Sacramento for many years, she made many friends while she was there and helped people accomplish their goal of becoming cosmetologists. After retiring, she spent her time with her 6 children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Theresa liked to read and sew in her spare time, making keepsakes for her family and her family always looked forward to her cookies at Christmas time. She was well liked and always made an effort to be kind and friendly to the people that she met. Her stories and her laugh will be dearly missed by all of those who were lucky enough to know her.

Theresa was preceded in death by her Husband, John E. Stanton, and her Grandson Joshua Goode. She is survived by her sister, Mrs.Sally King and her family, as well as her 6 children and their families; Lawrence Stanton, Ellen Goode, Mary Stanton, John Stanton, William Stanton, and James Stanton. Theresa is also survived by her 10 Grandchildren; Jennifer, Theresa, Joseph, Eliza, Megan, Katherine, Kelsey, Micah, Rachel, and David and her 8 Great Grandchildren. There will be a viewing at 10:30 am followed by a service that starts at 11:00am on February 18,2021 at Good Shepherd  Catholic Church in Elk Grove. Burial will take place immediately after the service at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, also located in Elk Grove. There will be a reception taking place at the home of her son, Lawrence, following her burial.
