Terri Marie Stanton (Ilg)-

Beloved wife, daughter, mother, and “grammy”, lost her battle with cancer and entered into rest on May 21,2020 in Elk Grove,Ca. Born October 6,1954 in Akron,Oh., Terri was known for her unique sense of humor, her willingness to always help others, and her devotion to animals, especially cats. She is survived by her husband of almost 37 years, Lawrence Stanton, her parents, Charles and Nancy Ilg, her daughter Jennifer Wagster and son in law Jason, her grandchildren, Autumn, Zachary,and Liam, her brothers,Charles Jr and Gary and his family, and her best friend of more than 50 years, Debra Hamilton. Terri and her family moved to Elk Grove over 50 years ago and she is a graduate of Elk Grove HS. She worked for the state of California for 20 years and After retiring in 2010, she donated countless hours to the Sacramento SPCA by making well over 3,000 beds for the animals they took care of and received a volunteer award for her efforts in 2018. She was liked by everyone she met and she will be dearly missed. A memorial mass will be held for her on July 13, 2020 at 11 am, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church 9539 Racquet Ct.,Elk Grove,Ca, followed immediately by a celebration of life/reception at the Masons Hall 9829 Waterman Rd Elk Grove,Ca.
