Steven Anthony Neves

Passed away at home on Nov. 9, 2020.

Born June 24, 1948 in Santa Clara, CA

He was preceded in death by his father Joseph A Neves, his mother Beatrice, a brother Donald Wolford, a sister Barbara Barrett.

He leaves behind his wife Marina, sons Doug (Gabrielle) of Oroville, Steve ( Lillian) of Yuba City, and Donny of Elk Grove, granddaughter Cassandra of Oroville his brother Glen, Greg and Sister Joanne.

I never heard him raise his voice or say a bad word about anyone, he was always there to help anyone, I can’t tell you how many folks that he taught to rope, Steve would give you whatever time you needed weather it was about cows, horse or if you just needed someone to talk to. He was a simple guy, nothing fancy, just what was needed to get the job done. A cowboy’s life most of the time is in solitude. It’s just you and your horse and all the tools you need are on your saddle, you get a lot of  “Me” time. Besides being a cowboy Steve liked to dance, fish and he enjoyed his music and singing. Steve was a man’s man, hardworking, animals always fed and taken care of before himself.

In lieu of  flowers donations to Project Ride in Elk Grove.

We are holding off on memorial for the time being, but will share once we have something planned.
