At age 87, Robert Hall of Sacramento died peacefully on July 23, 2019 after a long battle with COPD. Bob was a man who embraced life with every breath.
Bob served in the United States Air Force for 6 years (two years in Korea and four years in Okinawa) and he had a 26 year career with the United States Post Office, retiring in 1988 as Postmaster of Elk Grove. Bob was Postmaster of Elk Grove 1982-1988 and was instrumental in facilitating the opening of the Elk Grove Williamson branch. Retiring wasn't for Bob, so when he moved to Gig Harbor, WA for the “retirement” life, in 1993, he then opened up the Ye Ole Mail Post that handled UPS, FED-X, US Post Office, PO Boxes and a copy service until 2003. There were jobs in-between because Bob liked to be busy; his last job was a Courtesy Clerk for Safeway from 2006-2014 in Gig Harbor, WA. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, member of Scottish Rite and Shriner's.
Bob will also be remembered fondly as a husband, father, grandfather, brother and a man with an easy-going fun spirit towards people and in life.
Bob, was born in January 14, 1932 in Ionia, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his parents Alpha and Florence Hall and Step-Mother, Jeannalida Hall and former wives, Gloria Book, Patricia Harding-Hall Rich and Martha Hall.
