Jerry W. Pope

Jerry W. Pope was many things to many people:  Son, husband, father, brother, uncle, devoted church member, and friend.

He passed away October 5, 2019 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jerry was born August  24, 1940 at home in Grand Blanc, Michigan to Herbert B. and Selma M. Pope. In 1981 he and his family relocated to Sacramento, California.

He was the youngest of five children Edward Pope, Lorna Ternasky, James Pope, and Patricia Grimsley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Selma, brother Edward, and sister Lorna.

Survived by his wife, Peggy, daughters Susan Wilder (Mike) and Kirsten Salters (Tom), brother James (Pat) and sister Patricia, multiple nieces and nephews, a host of friends and his church family.

Jerry was always inquisitive and liked being busy. One of his favorite activities included reading heating and air conditioning manuals.

Legacy service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020, 1:00 pm South Sacramento Christian Center, 7710 Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento, California 95823.

He will be greatly missed!
