James (Jim) Michael Breault

James (Jim) Michael Breault, 83 of Elk Grove, CA died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on November 13, 2018. Jim was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Parish of Elk Grove.

Jim was born on May 24, 1935 in Troy, NY and moved as a young boy to Southern California eventually settling in Northern California in 1957. Jim moved his family to Hawaii for five years where he designed and built custom homes. He resided in Wilton, CA for 40 years before moving to Elk Grove, CA in 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Cyril Breault and Ruth (LaBonte) Breault.

Jim served proudly in the United States Army, 6th Infantry Division, H Company from October 1953 until October 1956. He was stationed in Fort Hood, TX. He served in the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and the UN Service Medal.

Jim married the love of his life, Leallyn (Jackie) Smith on November 26, 1960 at All Hallows Catholic Church of Sacramento. They had four children Thomas (Tom) Breault, Sharon Breault, Mark Breault and Vincent Breault.

Jim and Jackie loved to travel and their adventures took them throughout the United States, North to Alaska, East to New York, South to Florida and West to Hawaii. They also traveled to Canada, Mexico and Fiji.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and boating on the Delta. His favorite past-time was spending time with his family at their cabin located in the Central Sierra Mountains.

Jim was a successful business owner for over 46 years with the past 33 years as owner and partner of Centerline Striping Company, Inc. located in Elk Grove, CA.

Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Leallyn (Jackie) Breault, his sons Tom Breault (Karen), Mark Breault and Vincent Breault and his daughter, Sharon Breault. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Whitney Breault, Spencer Breault (Sophie), Morgan (Breault) Burns (Pat), Austin Breault, Dean Breault and Nolan Breault, two great grandchildren, Boston and Blakely Burns and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was the youngest of six children and is survived by his sister Alice (Breault) Ault. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Jean Breault, Fr. William Breault, S.J., Earl Breault and sister, Jane (Breault) Hogg.

Services will be held on November 26, 2018 at St. Mary Cemetery Funeral Center, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10.30 am, Rosary at 10:30 am, Mass at 11:00 am with burial to follow. Reception will be held from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm at St. Mary Cemetery Funeral Center.

The Breault family would like to thank Mercy Home Health and Hospice for their outstanding care of Jim and his family during this difficult time.
