Harold had a love for the horse race. As a newlywed, he would pick up Joan from the back and head to the old fairgrounds on Broadway where they’d watch the races from the fence. From that point on, he would go on to own many horses-Kaintuk, War-at-Home, and Judyneeds- abeemer. He did very well at the track, as recently as this past August at Cal Expo, and always shared his family.
