GLIPA, MICHELLE MARIE Born on November 16, 1979, passed away on November 23, 2020 at the age of 41. Michelle was born to Spencer and Anne Glipa (Lojko) of Sacramento, California. The Glipa family moved to Elk Grove, CA in 1985. She was a devoted daughter, the very best sister (twin), exceptional Auntie (Shelly), loyal godmother, and true friend to so many. She survived by 4 siblings and 11 nephews/nieces: Spencer II married to Erica (Daub), daughters Paige and Mia; Francis married to Claire (Jefferson), daughter Naomi and son Hezekiah; Barbara married to George (Jernigan), sons Brandon, Ian, Marcus, and Nathan; and Melissa (twin) married to Brett (Clark), son Brady and daughters Kodi and Corie. She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, and nephews Nathan and Aaron.

Michelle graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1997, where she was amazing athlete and varsity captain in women's volleyball and soccer, even reaching ALL CITY honors. After graduation, she began one of her favorite things, coaching soccer when she was only 17 years old.  She continued her passion for coaching, playing, watching, and basically LIVING soccer every day of her life. Michelle also enjoyed “talking story”, watching her favorite TV shows (Friends and Greys), traveling with her friends, cheering on her nephews/nieces, and spending time with her Ohana. She was a fashionista in all aspects; having the ability to recreate the trends for the latest outfits, hair, and make-up. Her professional career consisted of various state positions in three different agencies with her last job working for the California Department of Education where she worked there for more than 13 years. Michelle loved and cared for everyone she called her Ohana. Her aloha spirit will be deeply missed. Friends and family are welcome to her CELEBRATION OF LIFE at 10 am on Friday, July 2, at Vintage Church, 444 W Turner Rd. in Lodi, CA. Soccer jersey/kit, blue & gold, or Hawaiian print attire encouraged.
