Ann Rae Pinto

May 14, 1917 -

December 2, 2018

Age 101, at peace with herself and the world, Ann Died on December 2nd. One of 11 children born to Frank and Rae Jacinto, Ann lived her whole life within 15 miles of where she was born.  

She was preceded in death by husbands Edward Comer and Julio Pinto and siblings Mildred, Clive, Frances, Evelyn, Anita, Barbara, and Frank.  She is survived by siblings Margaret, Lois and Jack, daughters Jean Sadler (Bobby) and Marianne MacDonald (Jim), grandchildren Terri Caselli (Steve), Eric Davey, (Kellie), Robert Fowler (Lori), and Edward Davey (Mary). Also survived by 8 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ann worked at the CA Almond Growers and later at DMV until she retired. She loved to travel and took her first cross country railroad trip at age 18 with her mom.  She has visited many countries and was always up for a trip to participate in family activities. She was an active member of the Sacramento American Portuguese Society and the Portuguese Historical and Cultural Society. Ann also enjoyed dancing and gardening and passed on her knowledge and love for raising plants to her daughters and grandchildren. Because of her beautiful spirit and kindness for others,  Ann was chosen to be an Ambassador at the Commons at Elk Grove Assisted Living. She also received a Key to the City of Elk Grove on her 100th birthday.

Rest in peace Ann as you have shown us all how to make this world a better place.  

CELEBRATION OF ANN'S LIFE will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 11am at Country Oaks Baptist Church located at 9717 Bond Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95624.
