Two juveniles, ages 17, were stabbed and wounded during an altercation at a parking lot during the early evening of June 6. The suspects remain at large.

This incident was reported around 8:15 p.m. at the 9600 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road. The fight took place at an employee parking lot behind the Emerald Park Plaza shopping center.

Authorities said that both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Elk Grove police spokesperson Jason Jimenez said that the suspects and the victims previously knew each other and arranged to meet at the scene. He said that police do not know the motive that caused the fight.

After the fight was reported, officers arrived at the scene and saw one victim running away. They detained the victim and saw that he was stabbed. Paramedics took him to a local hospital for treatment.

Jimenez said that police learned that a friend drove the second victim to a hospital.

Authorities describe one suspect as a white male in his late teens who stands five feet, six to eight inches tall and wore a white T-shirt. The other suspect is described as a white male in his late teens who has a thin build and wore blue jeans.

Both suspects are wanted on attempted murder charges.
