Elk Grove police reported that an armed teenager robbed a person in Laguna on June 30.

He first contacted the victim on a transaction website and then arranged to purchase a cell phone from the victim in-person. No injuries were reported. The suspect remains at large.

This incident was reported around 12:45 p.m. at the 5800 block of Laguna Quail Way.

Elk Grove police spokesperson Jason Jimenez reported that the suspect met the victim at the scene where he then took out a firearm and ordered the victim to surrender his phone. The victim surrendered his property to the suspect who then ran away from the scene.

Authorities describe the suspect as a Hispanic male who is between the ages of 15-18 and wore gray clothing.
