A beach cove at Montana de Oro, San Luis Obispo was the setting for the June 14, 2008 wedding of Heidi-Marie Rose Bunton and Zach Vigario, both graduates of Elk Grove schools and now students at California Polytechnic Institute in San Luis Obispo.

The groom’s father, Mark Vigario, former principal of Elliott Ranch Elementary School in Elk Grove, performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of close family members.

Heidi-Marie, daughter of Cheryl and Greg Bunton of Elk Grove, was given in marriage by her parents. She was attended by her sister, Kirsten Alexis Bunton.

Jake Vigario performed best man duties for his brother, son of Vicky and Mark Vigario now of Texas.

Also attending the informal rites were Heidi-Marie’s maternal grandmother Mary Jenson of San Diego, paternal grandmother Maria Bunton of Atascadero and uncle John Korelich of San Diego; and Zach’s maternal grandmother Dorothy Michelis of Sacramento.

The newlyweds were feted at a luncheon following the ceremony at the Dolphin Bay Resort in Shell Beach before departing on a honeymoon in Monterey.

The bride graduated from Elk Grove High School in 2006 and is a Liberal Studies/Dance major at Cal Poly. She is also the activities director at the Cliffs Resort in Shell Beach.

Her husband is a 2005 graduate of Laguna Creek High School and is a civil engineer major at Cal Poly. He is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, preparing for deployment in 2009.

The couple met while in high school and active with the youth groups at First Baptist Church of Elk Grove. They are now making their home in San Luis Obispo as they complete studies for their degrees.
