The Elk Grove Teen Center USA’s Teen Idol auditions came to a close on April 18 at Sheldon High School.

One band, two dancers and three vocalists made it past the last audition and will be joining all of the other semi-finalists at the competition’s semi-finals.

The four-member band, Pick Your Battles from Bradshaw Christian High School, showed their talent at the audition.

Band members Trey Konkel, 17, Joe Flores, 17, Joey Gonzales, 17 and Tanner Konkel, 16, impressed the judges enough to continue in the competition.

Joining Pick Your Battles will be dancers Shelby Irey, 17, and Tinesha Parker, 17, both from Pleasant Grove High School.

Irey, and Parker also made their mark with judges and will compete at the semi-finals.

Two vocalists sang with a guitar back up. Camryn Howard, 16, sang with JP, 15, on the guitar and Nichole Norem, 14, sang with Sergio Garcia, 18, on the guitar. All four teens are from Franklin High School.

Singing solo was Diana Campos, 13, from Natomas Middle School.

All competitors will be battling for the Teen Idol title at the competition’s semi-finals on Friday, April 25 at Sheldon High School.
